A beautiful full-circle story from one of our favorite Collectors Chance customers.
A returning Collectors Chance customer named Amy recently received a very special Michael Jackson autograph through us — a 10.2 x 15.3 cm / 4″ x 6″ prescription pad sheet signed by the King of Pop in black ballpoint pen in the early 1980s. The autograph was originally given to one of plastic surgeon Dr. Steven M. Hoefflin’s employees… who was also named Amy.
Decades later, it somehow found its way to another Amy — this time to a small town in Oregon, USA.

“I live a simple life… just a wife, mom, grandma and a waitress,” Amy told us.
Her connection to music — and to Michael Jackson — has always been deeply personal.
“My first language is music and I have vivid memories of very early things in my life because of music,” she explained.
Her love for Michael Jackson returned strongly about a year and a half ago after revisiting his performances and books.
“My love of him came back like a hurricane,” she shared.
Although Amy owns several autographs from different artists, this particular piece immediately stood out.
“This one probably means the most to me,” Amy said.
Since then, Amy has been passionately collecting Michael Jackson memorabilia again — even driving around 80 miles (129 km) to the nearest movie theater, where she has already seen the Michael Jackson biopic four times… and is hoping for more.
We honestly couldn’t imagine a better ending for this autograph.
A Michael Jackson signature dedicated to “Amy” somehow finding its way to another devoted Amy decades later feels almost destined.
